Strengthen family relationships, improve communication, and resolve conflicts. Compassionate support for all family structures.
Family relationships can be incredibly rewarding—and sometimes incredibly challenging. Whether you're navigating parenting struggles, blended family adjustment, teen behavioral issues, divorce co-parenting, or simply want to strengthen family bonds, family therapy provides a safe space to work through difficulties and build healthier patterns together.
Every family is unique—different structures, different dynamics, different challenges. There's no such thing as a "perfect" family, and you don't need to fit a traditional mold to create strong, healthy relationships.
Family therapy isn't about identifying one person as "the problem." Instead, we look at how family members interact and how those patterns affect everyone. When one person changes, it creates ripple effects throughout the entire family.
We focus on what's actually happening in your family right now and what you want to be different. Rather than spending months analyzing the past, we identify specific goals and work toward them.
Your family structure is valid, whatever it looks like. We work with traditional families, single-parent households, blended families, LGBTQ+ families, multigenerational families, and any configuration that defines itself as family.
While family therapy works best when everyone participates, we can still make progress if some members can't or won't attend. We'll work with whoever is willing and motivated.

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from family therapy. Many successful families come to therapy to strengthen what's already working, navigate transitions proactively, or simply create more connection and understanding.
The first session focuses on understanding your family's dynamics, challenges, and goals. I'll meet with whoever can attend. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, what you've already tried, and what you hope will be different.
Together, we'll identify specific, achievable goals for family therapy. This might include 'reduce arguments about homework,' 'improve communication between co-parents,' or 'help everyone feel heard and valued.'
Family therapy sessions are typically 50-75 minutes. We'll work on communication skills, practice new ways of interacting, explore different perspectives, and address specific challenges in a structured, safe space.
Real change happens between sessions. I'll suggest simple 'homework' assignments—like practicing a new communication technique or trying a different approach to a recurring problem.
We'll regularly check in on your goals and progress. As your family develops new skills and patterns, we may shift focus to address emerging needs or deepen the work.
When your family is ready, we'll plan for ending regular sessions. Many families return for occasional 'tune-up' sessions during transitions or challenging periods.
Flexible Session Configurations: We can meet with the whole family, just parents, parent-child pairs, or other combinations depending on what's most helpful. Not everyone needs to attend every session.
