You don't need to be "broken" to benefit from therapy. Many successful clients come to therapy simply wanting to understand themselves better, navigate a specific challenge more effectively, or make intentional changes in their lives.
Your first session focuses on understanding you—your background, current challenges, what you've already tried, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This is also your chance to ask questions about my approach and decide if we're a good fit.
Together, we'll identify specific, achievable goals for therapy. I'll explain which therapeutic approaches might be most helpful for your situation and what you can expect from the process.
Sessions are 50-60 minutes and provide a confidential space to explore your experiences, understand patterns, process emotions, and develop new skills. I use a direct, practical approach—we'll talk openly about what's working and what's not.
We'll regularly check in on your goals and progress. As you develop new insights and skills, we'll adjust our focus to address emerging needs or deepen the work.
When you're ready, we'll plan for ending regular sessions. This might mean spacing sessions further apart, transitioning to 'as-needed' check-ins, or completing therapy altogether.
Your privacy is protected. Everything discussed in therapy is confidential except in rare circumstances required by law (risk of harm to self or others, child abuse, court order).
